Using the Name of Jesus Christ

Using the name of Jesus or any kind of prayer is only effective if you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior. If you haven’t prayed The Sinner’s Prayer and made Jesus the foundation of your life, then your prayers will not be nearly as effective. God only hears the prayers of His children. And in order to become one of His children, you have to give your life to God, and accept His most precious gift, His Son, Jesus Christ, as Lord of your life.  After saying The Sinner’s Prayer, and meaning it with your whole heart and your whole mind, you are made Anew in the Spirit. Your sins are instantly forgiven, simply because you have confessed and asked for forgiveness. Being made Anew in the Spirit is what many Christians call “being born again”. Saying the Sinner’s prayer is what many call “accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior”. From that point, the more you get to know God, and the closer you are to God, the more strength your prayers will have.

The Sinner’s Prayer

“Lord Jesus, I come before you and confess that I am a sinner, and that I need You. Please forgive my every sin, and come into my life and live in my heart. Jesus, I believe that You died on the Cross, and shed Your Blood just to save us from the clutches of Satan. I thank you Jesus for your great sacrifice, and accept this most precious gift. Father God, please accept me as one of your children, whom You love and care for, nurture and cherish, teach and disciple with Love.  Show me the way, the truth, and the life. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen”.

You are now a Child of God! Father God loves and looks over all of His children, and he wants only what is best for you. God’s presence in your life will bring you happiness and joy.  Just remember, that the amount of God’s presence in your life is directly proportional to the amount of time that is spent with Him, praising and worshiping Him, and in prayer.
