Psalms 24:1-2 The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters.

Self-Deliverance

Before self-deliverance, make sure that you have made Jesus your Lord and Savior, and have a solid relationship with God. If you try to go through deliverance before you are ready, it could backfire, much like stirring up a bee hive. You have to have God with you and His power in you before the demons will respond to your commands. I strongly recommend that you have an experienced Deliverance minister with you the first time that you go through deliverance.

Self-deliverance is based on the following principles. Whenever you sin, you are actually inviting the demonic spirits of that sin into your life and into your body. Victims of incest, rape, and murder also acquire demonic spirits from their attacker. Demonic spirits also gain access by way of trauma or serious injuries. Something else that most people do not realize is that, satan has named demonic spirits so that people will accidentally invite them into their lives, when they are just casually speaking. Also, many people have always believed that satan has several different names. That may have been true at one time. However, there are now demonic spirits, which represents each of these names.

Before going any further, everyone should put on the Whole Armor of God. This is the prayer that I say: In the name of Jesus Christ, I put on my Belt of Truth. I thank you, Father God, for my Belt of Truth. In the name of Jesus Christ, I put on my Helmet of Salvation. I thank you, Father God, for my Helmet of Salvation. In the name of Jesus Christ, I put on my Breastplate of Righteousness. I thank you, Father God, for my Breastplate of Righteousness. In the name of Jesus Christ, I take up my Shield of Faith, which extinguishes the fiery darts of the enemy. In the name of Jesus Christ, I take up my Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. I thank you, Father God, for my Shield of Faith, and my Sword of the Spirit. And I thank you, Father God, that my feet are always shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace.

Now, by speaking the following words with your authority in Jesus Christ, you may begin self-deliverance. Please remember that in the spirit realm, how you phrase your words means everything, so be careful about how you phrase your words. Also remember, do not bind any spirit that is not in your presence, because binding it will draw the spirit?s attention to you. If a spirit that is not currently in your presence is bound by you, it could feel challenged, and be prompted to enter your presence now or sometime in the future. The following is an example of the phrasing that I use:

In the name of Christ Jesus, I withdraw all invitations and permissions to all spirits of ___________________. In the name of Christ Jesus, I bind all spirits of ________________ from acting against me, directly or indirectly, through out the end of time. In the name of Christ Jesus, I command all spirits of __________________ to leave my presence, leave this dwelling place, and to go where Jesus wants you to go and to never return! I command you, in the name of Jesus Christ!

Upon being commanded to go, some demonic spirits leave by a forceful cough or exhalation. Others leave with just a yawn. The following is a list of demonic spirits that people most commonly deal with:

fear

lawlessness

pride

poverty

thievery

pain

the antichrist

murder

envy

witchcraft

spirits of satan

lust

satanists

rage

lack

persecution

irresponsibility

greed

rebellion

pornography

adultery

confusion

calamity

perversion

adversity

condemnation

fantasy

alcoholism

abusiveness

whoredom

drug addiction

incubus spirits

rape

infirmity (by disease)

gluttony

sodomy

slothfulness

jealousy

incest

distraction

misfortune

homosexuality

depression

offense

slander

absent-mindedness

procrastination

gossip

double-mindedness

miscommunication

divorce

This list is not conclusive. If you find yourself dealing with a situation, and you wonder if it could be influenced by a demonic spirit, just insert the name of the situation in the above paragraph, and try casting it out. It does not hurt to try. Something to remember is that demonic spirits are everywhere and your best defense is to focus to the presence of God, and carry His presence and power with you. This discourages any demonic activity in your presence, because there is no darkness when you carry the Light of God with you!
